1 Cup butter, softened
3/4 Cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3-4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips (or candies)
1/2 cup cocoa powder (optional)
Classic Tollhouse recipe
Mix wet ingredients until smooth. Add in the salt and baking soda. Slowly add in the flour, only incorporating the amount needed to get desired consistency. (If you are using cocoa powder, replace some of the flour with it). You should be able to roll a ball with your fingers, but you don't want it dry enough to crumble.
Stir in chocolate chips. Scoop 1 1/2 inch balls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet about 1 1/2-2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes.
The cookies should just look just set, and can be slightly wet in the center. Allow to cool on the sheet 5 minutes before moving to a cooling rack.

Cookie pizza:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp. of salt
3/4 tsp. of baking soda
1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Lightly oil a 16 inch round pizza pan and cover with parchment. Spread the dough out using wet hands to about 11-12 inches around. Try to keep it in the center of the pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until brown and mostly set.
Use the parchment to move the cookie onto a cooling rack and allow to cool completely. If desired, trim up the edges and decorate.
